today in class

no i'm not going to tell about what the topic was so don't worry..

today in women's studies i was amazed at how culturally diverse our class was.. so we were talking about a book, "A Hunger So Deep and So Wide" (or was is so wide and so deep.. oh well..) and she asked us about what messages did we get in our childhoods about our bodies, like eating, diets, body shape, beauty.. and grabe.. there were like, asian-american, persian, chinese, filipino, etc etc etc experiences. i felt really lucky to be in that kind of environment ksi parang i get to see a whole lot of different cultures as opposed to if i go to maybe a midwest school or mas conservative or not as racially diverse school, mas iba ung experience.. wla lang i'm so glad lang na d ko na-ffeel na naiiba ako, yet feel ko pa rin na special ako.. labo ba? hahahhaa

so interesting story na nangyari sa akin kgbi.. hahahah i was taking a shower and i felt like singing.. e wla naman akong masyadong memorize na songs.. so isa sa mga alam ko ung "bakit ngayon ka lang" so kinakanta ko db.. AND BIGLANG MERONG NAKISABAY!! as in gulat ako.. d mo naman maeexpect na merong may alam nun db?! so i was like.. "who's singing?" haha turns out she is filipina.. she's from romblon, came here in the last 2 years of HS, and she's a sophomore now.. hahahahah soooo i might go visit her later.. :) to borrow some OPM(!) cds she has! i'm so excited..
